Helen LaRue (Beers) Branan, 86, of Cowansville, died on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at her home. She was born in Kittanning on February 24, 1935, a daughter of the late Raymond Earl Beers and Nettie Mae Beers. Helen formerly worked as a chef at ACMH. She attended Grace Presbyterian Church in Kittanning. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, crocheting, going to the casino and flea markets, baking and cooking, and being grama and great-grama. Left behind to cherish her memory includes her son, Chuck (Bernie) Bureau, of Shelocta, Pa; daughters, Robin (Mathew) Minteer, of Worthington and Betty Haught, of Cowansville; son, Robert (Kim) Branan, of Greensburgh, Pa; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and 3 sisters and 4 brothers. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her sons, James “J.B.” Bureau and Kenneth Bureau; lifelong companion, William “Butch” Rumbarger; grandsons, Eric Bureau, Ronald Haught and Cory Bureau; and ex-husband, Robert Branan. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Rd., Cowansville, Pa with funeral services to immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Larry Edwards officiating. Interment will be in Sherrett Cemetery.
