Henry A. Mores, 83,of West Kittanning passed away on August 1, 2024 at Passavant Hospital.
Henry was the son of Henry R. and Irene G. (Augustine) Mores, born October 18, 1940 in Kittanning.
Henry graduated from Ford City High School during which he was a lifeguard at Crooked Creek State Park and worked at Moesta & Sons in Kittanning.
Henry married Marie Stone in 1960 and they had two children, Jeanne and Alan. He worked at Pullman Standard and Moonlight Mushroom until the early 1970’s. At that point he began his company, Henry Mores Construction, and built several houses for his father-in-law, Henry Stone.
He was very involved in the community. Henry was a lifetime member of the West Kittanning Fire Department and for many years volunteered as an EMT for Hose Co. #6 Ambulance. He has been a member of the West Kittanning Borough Council for several years and has been council president until this time.
He was also a member and President of the Board of Town and Country Transit.
He was a faithful member of Saint Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Kittanning and was an usher for many years.
Henry loved his family and took very good care of all of them. He enjoyed SCUBA diving and traveled many places around the world to do so. His favorite hobby was model trains.
Henry is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marie, daughter Jeanne (Mark Jones) Englert of Kittanning and son Alan (Donna) of Butler. Granddaughters Amanda (Stephen) Gilliland, Briana (Michael Brandon) Mason and Alexis (Alex) Sharrow. Henry loved spending time with his great-grandsons Caleb and Colin Gilliland. Also surviving are sisters Ann Orenak of Indiana, Mary (Dan) Zarecky of Ford City, Irene (Ken) Bair of York, Sister-in-law Janet McGuire, Brother Joe Mores of Kittanning and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Henry and Irene Mores, Mother and Father-in-law Henry and Lucille Stone, brother Fred Mores and brothers-in law Peter McGuire and Ron Orenak.
Friends and family will be received from 1pm – 6pm Sunday, August 4th at Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, Kittanning with additional visitation at the church from 10 am until the time of a Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M at St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Kittanning on Monday, August 5th with the Very Reverend Eric Dinga officiating.

Internment will be at Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington PA.
