Howard John Harshman

Howard John Harshman, 85, of Kittanning, passed away Tuesday July 23, 2024 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born June 4, 1939 in Geauga, Ohio to the late Bert Allen and Ruth Elizabeth (Courtney) Harshman. He was a retired truck driver and served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1961. Howard attended the Furnace Run Chapel and loved spending time with his family.

Howard is survived by his daughter, Pamela I. Freeman; granddaughter, Brandi Gaiser; great-grandchildren, Rylee (Gabbi) Cribbs, Braelyn Freeman, Breanna (Anthony) Freeman, Johnathan Freeman, Bryan Freeman, Kolton Freeman and Janaya Gaiser; great-great granddaughter, Sienna Layne; and sister, Georgia Harshman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris Melinda (John) Harshman whom he married in 1964; son, Leslie A. Harshman; grandsons, Ryan A. Freeman and John M. Freeman; and great-grandson, Kaden R. Freeman.

Friends will be received on Friday July 26, 2024 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Jimmy Edwards officiating. Interment is in Brush Valley Brethren Cemetery.
