Hyo Sook “Donna” (Pak) Bowser, 88, of Worthington, PA, passed away Wednesday April 16, 2025, at Southwestern Veterans Center in Pittsburgh. She was born March 18, 1937, in Korea to the late Sea Jun Park and Kan Ran Yu. 

Donna was a deeply caring, loving, and hardworking wife and mother, someone who always put others first. She was a devoted friend, always ready to lend a hand in times of need. A dedicated entrepreneur, Donna was the former owner of the Far East Lounge in Kittanning and owned a Taekwondo studio in Pittsburgh, reflecting her passion and drive in all she did. She was the first women driver on a U.S. Military base in Korea and came to the United States with her husband Ralph Lee Bowser who she met while he was serving in the Army just after the Korean War. She was proud and honored to become a U.S. citizen and raise her four boys. 

Donna was a member of the Pittsburgh Korean Assembly of God in Monroeville. She loved Martial Arts and was a 6th degree black belt Master in Taekwondo, ranked in the top 10 in the world and a Two-time World Champion in her age category. Donna was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame in Saint Louis, MO in 2002 

She is survived by her four sons Jack D. (Susan) Bowser of Worthington, PA, Ralph (Heidi) Bowser of Temecula, Ca, Ronald A. Bowser of Worthington, PA, and Carl R. Bowser of Pensacola, FL; 11 grandchildren Christopher (Autumn) Bowser, Sean (Kaylee) Bowser, Abby (Joshua) Kail, Tobias Bowser, Kyle Bowser, Lauren Bowser, Peyton Bowser, Autumn (Wesley) Thomas, Brandon Bowser, Sophia Bowser, and Ronald Bowser; 19 great-grandchildren Solomon, Emmanuel, Annika, Elias, Petra, Cleopatra, Evangelina, and Viona Kail; Paxton, Maverick, and Alorah Bowser; Amara, Deklan, Thatcher, and Lion Bowser; Mila, Malachi, Ezra, and Judah Thomas; sister Yang Sook Lee; sisters-in-law Martha Wible and Rose McElfresh; brother- in- law Ron (Barbara) Bowser; numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Ralph Lee Bowser whom passed away February 17, 1990. Donna will be truly loved and missed by all. 

Friends will be received on Wednesday April 23, 2025, at the Harvest Church 143 Reed Road, Kittanning, PA 16201 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held on Thursday April 24, 2025, in the church at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Michael Greiner officiating. Additional viewing will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Graveside services will immediately follow at Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington. The family will host a luncheon to celebrate her life immediately following the graveside service at the Harvest Church.
