Iva Jean (Cornman) Chestnut, 71, of Ford Cliff, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 at ACMH Hospital. She was born July 13, 1950 in Mosgrove to the late Ernest and Mary Jane (John) Cornman. Jean worked as a beautician for many years. She enjoyed camping, shopping, sewing, cooking, and playing bingo.
Jean is survived by her two sons, Greg Chestnut and Tracy Emmonds, of Ford Cliff, and Keith (Cheryl) Chestnut, of Ford City; grandchildren: Alexa, Olivia, Megan, Joshua, and Mathew; sister Eva (Edward) Steffy of Kittanning; sister, Helen (Kenneth) Schall of Rural Valley; sister, Nancy (Larry) Slagle of Fairmont City; sister, Diana (Jose) Motta of Pocono; brother, Jack (Denise) Cornman of East Kittanning; sister, Janice Rodgers of Butler; sister, Anita Heckman of Navar, FL; brother, Dewayne (Melanie) Cornman of Kittanning; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Larry Chestnut; grandson Karson Eugene Chestnut; brother Thomas Cornman; sister Patricia Stitt; brother Ernest Cornman; brother Richard “Bo” Cornman; brother Charles Cornman; infant sister Melody Sue Cornman; sister JoEllen Cornman.
Friends will be received on Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home in Kittanning from 12:00 to 2:00 pm and from 5:00 pm until the time of a service at 7:00 pm with Rev. Joseph Altman officiating. Interment is in the Pine Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
