Jacklyn S. (Reedy) Schall

Beloved wife and mother, Jacklyn S. Schall, 59, of Kittanning Township passed away early in the morning of Saturday, January 1, 2022 at ACMH after a short but agonizing fight with covid pneumonia. She was born July 17th , 1962, to Laura and Marlin Reedy. She devoted her life to her husband Jimmy of 31 years, as well as to her children Keith and Kari, and to her church. She spent her time cooking and baking her much sought after baked goods, gardening, reading, crocheting, and taking care of her beloved animals, especiallt her prized cow, Kimmie. When she wasn’t at home, she could most likely be found at her church, Christ Rupp Lutheran, where she served on council, was a Sunday school teacher, and helped with every diner and function. She also served as Judge of Elections for Kittanning Township. It is also worth noting that for many years she babysat several children whom she loved like her own and considered “bonus children”. 

She is survived by her husband Jimmy, her son Keith and his girlfriend Jessie, her daughter Kari and her boyfriend David, mother and father in law Myrtle and Darl Schall, sister in law Brenda (Tom) Boyer, brothers Doug (Evelyn) Reedy, Ronald (Darlene) Reedy, Randy (Melody) Reedy, Marlin (Nelda) Reedy Jr, sister in law Jennifer Reedy, and an abundance of nieces and nephews. 

Jacklyn was preceded in death by her infant daughter Jessica, her parents Laura and Marlin Reedy, her brothers Jeffrey Reedy and Timmy Reedy. 

Friends will be received on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home in Kittanning from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Christ Rupp Lutheran Church at 11:00 am with additional visitation at the church from 10:00am until the time of the service with Rev. Matthew Vatalarie officiating. Interment is in the Christ Rupp Lutheran Church Cemetery.
