James R. Baker

James R. Baker, 83, of Pleasantville, PA formerly of Cowansville, died on Friday January 13, 2023 in his residence. 

He was born on October 21, 1939 in Ford Cliff, PA to the late Herbert A. & Leona M. (Hutchison) Baker. 

Jim was a crane operator and supervisor throughout his career and was also formerly an E.M.T for Sugarcreek Ambulance Service. 

He was a U.S Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam Era. 

Jim was the family historian who loved old cars, spending time with his granddaughters and traveling. 

He leaves behind his son; Bryan Baker of Pleasantville, Granddaughters; Lacey Greenawalt of Kittanning, Ashley Baker of Norfolk, VA, and Hailey Baker of Pleasantville. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Carole Baker and a son; Barry Baker. 

Family and friends of James Baker will be received on Sunday, January 15, 2023 in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home , 832 East Brady Road, Cowansville, Pa 16218 from 11:00am until time of funeral services at 1:00pm in the funeral home with Rev. Sue Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Ford City Cemetery.
