James Paul Cousins

James Paul Cousins, 65, of Kittanning, died on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Pittsburgh VA Medical Center.  He was born August 6, 1958 in Kittanning to Walter Paul Cousins Jr. and Doris Cousins, and was a lifelong resident of the area.  He was a U.S. Army veteran and belonged to the Laborer’s Union 952 in Kittanning.  He attended Church of God in Kittanning and also belonged to the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #896 in Kittanning.  James loved walking his dogs and riding his bicycle.  He will be lovingly remembered as a hard-working and kind person who would help anyone out when needed.  He enjoyed playing and watching basketball, as well as watching other sports. 

Survivors include his mother, Doris Cousins, of Kittanning; brother, Jerry (Kim) Cousins, of Columbus, OH; brother, Jack (Donna) Cousins, of Pataskala, OH; sister, Paula (Chris) Flick, of Kittanning; brother, Terry Cousins, of Kittanning; brother, Garry Cousins, of N. Buffalo Twp.; brother, Walter Paul (Marsha) Cousins III, of Three Springs, PA; and best friends, Greg Wolfe, of Georgia and Bernie Denardo, Ford City, PA. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who he loved dearly.  He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Paul Cousins Jr.; sister, Doris JoAnne “Josie” Westwood; and brother, John Walter Cousins. 

Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, PA.  Additional visitation will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, March 21, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Richard Molgaard officiating.  Interment will be in Kittanning Cemetery.
