Jean E. Smith

Jean E. Smith, 86, of Worthington died on Thursday January 7, 2021 in Sugarcreek Rest. She was born on March 30, 1934 in Salisbury, Pa to the late Irvin & Lula (Durst) Kemp. 

Jean was employed at Moonlight Mushrooms before retiring to spend more time with family & friends. She was one of the founding members of Worthington American Legion Auxiliary. She rarely missed Friday night bingo and she also enjoyed playing cards. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. 

Jean leaves behind to cherish her memory: 

Son- Ronald (Pam) Smith 

Daughter- Deborah (Jeff) Hodak 

4 Grandchildren- Josh Hodak, Brock (Wendy) Hodak, Zach Smith, and Amber (Matt) Hutchman. 

6 Great Grandchildren- Brody & Gracie Hodak, Aubrey Smith, and Olivia , Norah, and Simon Hutchman. 

Sister- Betty Bolden 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 

Husband- John R. Smith 

4 brothers- Bud, Robert, Jack, & Don Kemp 

3 sisters- Marg Holler, Sis Garlitz, & Loretta Burkholder. 

The family of Jean Smith will hold a private viewing and service at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington, PA 16262 with Rev. Robert Hindman officiating. She will then be laid to rest in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
