Jeffrey Duaine Kaufman Obituary

Jeffrey Duaine Kaufman, 78, of Cowansville, Pa. passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at his home.  He was born July 5, 1947 in Cowansville to the late Arthur and Nelda Jean Kaufman.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and Desert Storm, serving as Sgt. 1st Class in the U.S. Army and BM3 in the U.S. Navy.  He was a retired laborer and coal miner.  His memberships included the Kittanning Eagles and American Legion Post 325, where he served as commander for 16 years.  Jeffrey enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting coins, metal detecting, panning for gold and spending time with family and friends.


He leaves behind to forever cherish his memory, his wife, Janet K. Kaufman, of Cowansville; son, Arthur W. Kaufman (Tanya), of Clarion; daughters, Samantha Troup (Curt), of Riceville, TN, Rebecca Crissman (Roger), of Cowansville and  Beth Kaufman (Bob), of East Brady; grandchildren, Micheal, Tiffany, Danny, Shawna, Arthur, Tara, Trevor, Alexis, Clarissa, Roger, Brittany, Brooke, Everett, Ryan and Matthew; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Darrell Kaufman (Elizabeth), of Cowansville, Joseph Kaufman, of Adrian and John Kaufman (Sandy), of Spartansburg, Pa.; and sister, Mary Lou Stitt (Dave), of Adrian.  In addition to his parents, Jeffrey was preceded in death by his brother, Chuckie, and sisters, Judy Lash and Barb Bowser. 


Friends will be received on Friday, Jan. 23, 2026 from noon until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. at Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 E. Brady Rd., Cowansville, Pa. with Pastor Sue Foster officiating.  Military Honors will follow.  Interment will be in Sherrett Cemetery.
