John Thomas Cafaro, 44, of Kittanning, passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.  He was born Oct. 9, 1980, in Pomona, Calif., to Deborah Cafaro and the late Thomas Cafaro.  John worked various jobs in factories and retail. He was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed music, hiking in the woods, nature, being an artist, where he would draw, write and write music.

He is survived by his mother Deborah Cafaro, of Kittanning; sister, Carrie Cafaro, of Ford City; sister, Christine Cafaro, of Manorville; nephew, Dylan Cafaro, of Ford City; nephew, Drake Powell, of Ford City; niece, Abigail Tardivo, of Manorville; nephew, Isaac Tardivo, serving in the U.S. Army in Georgia and his wife, Madyson Tardivo, of Kittanning.

John was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Cafaro; maternal grandparents, Helen Bissett and Charles Soules; and paternal grandparents, Helen Brown and Bob Cafaro.

John was a beloved son, brother and uncle. He loved music and was a self-taught musician and was a talented drummer. John was a well known musician in the area, having played with several bands. John enjoyed reading and learning. He loved his family and was a very passionate person. John was a strong young man and battled cancer for seven years. He can rest now in Jesus' Arms, you are so loved.

Friends will be received on Friday, Nov. 8, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. Additional viewing will be held from noon Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024, in the funeral home, until the time of  the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Craig Riggle officiating.
