John James Hogan, 79, of Kittanning, died on Wednesday, Sept., 15, 2021, at home. He was born on April 3, 1942, in Fredricksburg, Pa., to the late Robert and Myrtle ( Brocious) Hogan. John was a laborer and Vietnam veteran. He was a member of Crisswell and Christian With a Vision. He also belonged to the American Legion in Bradys Bend. John enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandkids.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his wife, Carol Hogan; daughter, Sheri (Elmer) Hooks, of Adrian; granddaughters, Kami Hooks and Josi Hooks, both of Adrian; grandson, Wyatt Hogan, of Adrian; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Sam and Dot Tarr, of Adrian, and Jerry and Ann Tarr, of Adrian; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Shawn Hogan, on April 1, 2021; brother, Robert Hogan; sisters, Audine Malarkey and Bertha Jean Miles; and nephew, Josh Dibble.
Family and friends of John Hogan, will be received from 2-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 East Brady Road, Cowansville, Pa. 16218. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, in the funeral home.
