John Jay Porterfield

John Jay Porterfield, 33, of Ohio, formerly of Kittanning, died on June 3, 2018, in Ohio.  He was born July 27, 1984, in Kittanning, Pa., to John William and Marcia (King) Porterfield.  John was a school teacher in Ohio.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents John William and Marcia Porterfield; brothers Eric James Porterfield, and Brian Elwood; nephews Jacob and Derek Elwood; paternal grandmother, Leatrice Porterfield; aunts Karen (Art) Hemphill, Jackie (Tom) Valasek, Dianne (Tom) Iseman, and Jill Hartman; cousins Curtis Hartman and Harry (Christi) Brink; and his little dog Paco.  John was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Charles (Evelyn) King; paternal grandfather John R. Porterfield; and cousin Jason Hartman.  Services were private.
