John Michael “Chas” Wolfe, 82, of Kittanning, joined that unbroken circle in the sky on Friday February 26, 2021. He was born on February 19, 1939 in Kittanning to the late Clifford P. & Evelyn M. (Hogenmiller) Wolfe. He attended Kittanning High School but left in 1955 to join the USMC. Hoping to make a career of the Marines, he spent 7 years in service until results of an automobile accident forced his retirement. He went on to work for Forringer’s Trucking, Central Transport and then delivered meals to seniors for Nutrition Inc. His health had been failing in the last 2 years and in spite of the loving and devoted 24/7 care of his wife Shirley and family, our Lord called him home. He loved trucks, motorcycles and car shows. He will be missed by his many friends.
He is survived by his loving wife and companion of 34 years Shirley J. (Nelson) Wolfe. He is also survived by his son, Lester R. (Peg Anderson) Wolfe; Sisters- Mary Jo Wojton, Audrey A. John, and Linda (Tom) Ortmann. He is also survived by his step children, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He also leaves behind his 4 legged girls: Sissy & Emey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister; Judith Marlene (Wolfe) Harmon.
Private family viewing and services were held on Monday March 1, 2021 in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 South McKean St., Kittanning, PA with Rev. Alan Grote officiating. Burial will take place in Cochran Cemetery. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Good Samaritan Hospice, Helpmates, Armscare, Hose Co. #6 Ambulance Service, Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home and all their neighbors, friends and family.
