Joseph Edward Beer Sr.

Joseph Edward Beer Sr., 81, of Shelocta, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022 at ACMH Hospital. He was born June 10, 1941 in Kittanning to the late Zelma and John Beer. Joseph lived his whole life in Armstrong County and was a retired truck driver and machine operator. He was a member of the Mount Union Lutheran Church. 

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, camping, spending time with his family, and playing guitar and music. 

Joseph is survived by his son Joseph E. Beer Jr, of Elderton; daughter Valerie (Jack) McClafferty of Adrian; daughter Tammy (Gary) Shaffer of Adrian; daughter Sandra (Ron) Smith of Kittanning; granddaughter Kelly (Scott) Martin of McGrann; grandson Kenneth (Rita) Shaffer of Rural Valley; grandson Tyler McClafferty of Adrian; granddaughter Christina (Derek) Jack of Adrian; grandson Gary Shaffer Jr of Adrian; grandson Kevin Smith Jr of Kittanning; grandson Dustin (Sabrina) Smith of Adrian; 8 great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Vivian Beer; granddaughter Tabatha Shaffer; brothers Larry Beer and Wayne Beer; sisters Patsy Ellenberger and Kay Rosenberger. 

Services was private and under the care of the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.
