Josephine (Preteroti) Davis, 94, of Kittanning, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford.  She was born January 15, 1930 in Templeton, the daughter of the late Anthony and Annina (Damore) Preteroti.  Josephine was a lifelong resident of the community.  She was a beautician, minister and homemaker.  She attended Adrian Community Church.  She enjoyed reading her bible, writing sermons and songs and watching her favorite christian programs.  Josephine was a devout Christian.  She had always been an active member in various bible studies and prayer groups.  Josephine lived deeply with no fear of death because she knew her eternal home was with the Lord.  She is rejoicing in Heaven! 

She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory, her brother, Raymond W. Preteroti, of Missouri; daughters-in-law, Geraldine Palermo (Frank), of Butler and Katherine Palermo (Michael), of Kittanning; grandchildren, Michael S. Palermo, of Kittanning, Joshua Palermo (Wei-Wei), of Pittsburgh, Anthony Palermo, of Ford City, Ellen Kelly (Bryan), of North Carolina, Allison Bellas (Bill), of Kittanning, Amy Peacock (Darren), of Texas, and Stacy Bartholic (Jeff), of Butler; 10 great-grandchildren: Chloe, Quinn and Barrett Kelly, Finn, Brooks, Blake and Ford Bellas, and Jacob, Jonah and Jude Bartholic; and several beloved nieces and nephews.  

In addition to her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, William Davis; her sons, Michael V. Palermo, Joseph A. Palermo and Frank C. Palermo; her siblings, Mary Rose Abate, James V. Preteroti and Genevieve L. Slagle; and her pet companion, Brawney.  

Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa.  Additional viewing will be held at the funeral home on Sat., June 29, from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Donald Breghenti officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Adrian, Pa.
