Joy Eileen (Scadden) Brison

Joy Eileen (Scadden) Brison, 91, of Kittanning, died on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning.  She was born April 24, 1934, the daughter of the late Harry Frank Scadden Sr. and Alda (Johnson) Scadden.  She was a homemaker and attended the Free Methodist Church.  Joy loved to read the Bible and enjoyed making buns and cookies.  She liked playing cards and playing the piano and being with friends and family.  Left behind to forever cherish her memory includes her husband, James Brison; sons, Timothy (Sara) Brison, of Kittanning and James Brison, of Mulberry, FL; daughter-in-law, Jackie, of Indiana, PA; grandchildren, DJ (Julie) Brison, of Kittanning, Matt (Linda) Brison, of Washington, PA, Jamie, Michael, Nathan, and Emilee (Brian) Brown; 7 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Harry Scadden, of Kittanning and Bob Scadden, of Kittanning.  In addition to her parents, Joy was preceded in death by her son, David Brison; grandson, Jonathan Brison; and daughter-in-law, Debbie Brison.  Visitation and funeral services will be privately held by the family at the funeral home.  Private interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.  Family and friends are welcome to a gathering for a Celebration of Life in Joy's honor on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 4-6 p.m. at Free Methodist Church, 2339 Freeport Rd., Kittanning, PA.
