Joyce Elaine (Johns) Lamison, 69, of Kittanning, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. She was born July 25, 1949, in Mosgrove to the late Vernon Benjamin and Lucille (Lockhart) Johns. Joyce was a lifelong resident of the area and retired from ACMH Hospital where she was a housekeeper. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and liked to read.
Survivors include daughters, Carol (William) Slagle, of Kittanning, and Courtney Lamison and fiancé Justin Johnson, of Kittanning; grandson, Logan Slagle, of Kittanning; granddaughters, Hannah Slagle, of Kittanning and Jaycee Johnson, of Kittanning; sisters, Patricia Minor, of Ford City, and Linda Peters, of Kittanning; brother, Donald Toy, of New Bethlehem; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, George Lamison Jr. who passed away in 2005; daughter, Tamanndae Lamison, who passed away Sept. 9, 1969; son, George Lamison III; brothers, Vernon Johns, Henry Johns, and Richard Toy; and sisters, Marge Dinger, Peggy McAfoose, and two infant sisters.
Friends will be received Monday Sept. 10, 2018, from 2-4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until the time of the service at 8 p.m. at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning, with Pastor Nathan Bramlet officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Joyce’s honor to the Richard G. Laube Cancer Center at One Nolte Drive, Kittanning, Pa. 16201.
