Joyce Marlene (Claypoole) Wolff, 82, of Worthington died peacefully Tuesday, January 7, 2025 after a courageous battle with Leukemia. She was born on May 8, 1942, in Kittanning, daughter of Walter H. and Margaret Lorene Heilman Claypoole. Joyce was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kittanning. She took great pride on the upkeep of her home inside and out. Joyce retired from working in the cafeteria for the Armstrong School District at the age of 79.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Warren V. Wolff; brother, Gary L. Claypoole; sister, Mary Louise Claypoole Hill.
She is survived by her son, Stephen Wolff and wife, Amy of Franklin Park; Celena Hudak and husband, Lance of Portage; five beautiful granddaughters: Lauren, Madelyn, and Ashlyn Hudak, Addyson and Emma Wolff; one sister, Carol Claypoole Buterbaugh and husband, Terry of Clymer; one sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Stewart of Slippery Rock; several nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Joyce from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2024 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 11, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 218 N. Jefferson St., Kittanning, PA from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Carl Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 218 N. Jefferson St., Kittanning, PA 16201.
