Karen J. Cobbett

Karen J. Cobbett, 76, of Templeton died on Sunday May 28, 2023 in Madison Twp. from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on December 5, 1946 in Kittanning to the late John & Barbara (Lamison) Bowser. Karen worked in the coal mines for 11 years and was very proud to be a female in a male dominant industry. She was a faithful member of the Widnoon United Methodist Church who loved gardening, flowers and spending time with her grandchildren. She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory, son, Paul (Korissa) Cobbett; daughter, April (Jim) Carr, daughter, Jane Polka; grandchildren, Paul L. (Madison) Cobbett, Michael Polka, Collin (Shayla) Polka, Kristy (Matt) Waldroup and Justy Steim; great grandchildren, Paul, Paisly, Molly, Liam, Jada, Riley, Craidon, Xandier, and Tripp; sisters, Fay Lasher and June Fox; and brother, Adam Bowser.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill Bowser and Ray Bowser; sister, Audrey Johns; and best friend, Ken Walters. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday May 31, 2023 in the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home, 253 North Grant Ave., Kittanning, PA 16201 from 5:00 – 8:00pm. Additional viewing will be held in the funeral home on Thursday June 1, 2023 from 10:00am until time of funeral services at 11:00am with Rev. Craig Lindahl officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Cemetery.
