Kolby Franklin Atwood, 31, of Kittanning, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, in his residence. He was born on June 15, 1990, in Kittanning, to Tom and Rae (Smouse) Atwood. Kolby previously worked as a welder for Boilermakers Local No. 154 and was a member of St. Mary Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, watching motocross, hunting, fishing, spending time with family and friends and his beloved dog, Mercedes. He also enjoyed being a volunteer fireman with West Kittanning Volunteer Fire Department.
Left behind to cherish his memory includes his parents, Tom and Rae Atwood; brother, Bo Atwood; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jim and Jean Smouse; and his paternal grandparents, William and Ethel Atwood.
Family and friends of Kolby, will be received from 5-9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. Additional viewing will be held from 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, in the funeral home, until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Fred Neal officiating. A luncheon will follow in the West Kittanning fire hall. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug & Alcohol Commission Inc. or a recovery center of your choice.
