Kristen L. Livengood

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our sister, Kristen L. Livengood on January 15, 2023 at her home in Cadogan, PA.  She left us peacefully at the age of 59 following a long battle with Crohn’s Disease.  Born in Kittanning, Pa on February 1, 1963, she was the youngest child of the late Henry L. Livengood and Cheryl F. (Jenkins) Livengood.  She was Lutheran by faith and was formally a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Manorville. 

Kristen lived a full life in her short years.  She was mother to her beloved daughter, Trisha, and loved caretaking of the elderly.  She loved her family, extended family and the time spent together.  Board games and card playing were high on her list of pastimes as was taking care of her animals. 

She is survived by her friend, Michael Bechen, of Cadogan; son-in-law, James Duguay, of Vinings, GA; her sisters, Karen Watterson, of Ford City, Kimberly Benigni (friend, Harvey Jack), of Kittanning, Kathie (David) Olinger, of Manorville and Kelly (Jeffrey) Szymanski, of Ford City; her brother, Keith Livengood (friend, Rachel Flischel), of Kittanning; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Trisha Rushing Duguay. 

Say not in grief that Kristen is no more but in thankfulness that she was. We will miss you, you will always be a part of us. 

In accordance with Kristen’s wishes, there will be no viewing followed by a private family burial. A celebration of Kristen’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kristen’s memory to Orphans of the Storm, P.O. Box 838, Kittanning, PA 16201. Arrangements are entrusted to the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.
