Lee Richard Claypoole, 76, of Kittanning, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born June 9, 1946 in Kittanning, he was a son of the late William and Helen Claypoole, and was a lifelong resident of the community. Lee worked in the shipping department at Eljer, retiring after 37 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam. He enjoyed wood working, camping, movies, and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Audrey Claypoole; sons, Rick Claypoole and his wife, Angel, of Kittanning and Keith Claypoole and his wife, Becky, of Kittanning; granddaughters, Ashleigh Claypoole and Maleiah Claypoole, both of Kittanning; grandson, Dylan Claypoole, of Worthington; great-granddaughter, Hayden Claypoole, of Worthington; sister, Doris Cox, of Kittanning; brother, Floyd (Diane) Claypoole, of Kittanning; and sisters, Patty Sproull, of Kittanning and Debbie (Rick) Smail, of Kittanning. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Elizabeth and William Clair Claypoole. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the Snyder- Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa. Additional visitation with be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 23, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rodney Miller officiating. Burial with full Military Honors will follow in Kittanning Cemetery.
