Linda J. (Catchpole) Farster

     Linda J. (Catchpole) Farster, 78, of Kittanning, passed away after fighting a courageous 20 year battle with cancer on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. Born on October 11, 1942 in Pittsburgh, Pa, she was a daughter of the late William Elmer and Helen (Easton) Catchpole. She was a devoted member of Sloan Hill Church. Linda was part owner of D & L Repair, where she worked side by side with her husband. She was dedicated to music. She played the flute, which she taught many kids to play, as well as the piano. She loved her cats and she was a loving mother and grandmother. Her biggest love was her husband, her love for him was second to none.

     Left behind to cherish her memory includes her husband of 62 years, Dale Farster, whom she married Jan. 25, 1959; four daughters, Kathy Paras, Susan Schwenk, Amy Kilgore, and Laura Milko; ten grandchildren, Bryan Norris, Adam Norris, Rich Boomer, Charlie Boomer, Ashley Schwenk, Bill Schwenk, Don Catchpole III, Alex Catchpole, Bridget Kilgore, and Realynn Kilgore; and brothers, Chuck Catchpole, Jimmy Gordan, and Mark Catchpole. She was preceded in death by her parents.

     Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Patz officiating. Burial will be in Cochran Cemetery. Guests attending the viewing or services for Linda are respectfully asked to wear a mask or face covering, social distance, and follow all CDC/Health Department health and safety protocols. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Linda’s honor to Orphans of the Storm, P.O. Box 838, Kittanning, Pa 16201.
