Linda Lee (Bowser) Reed, 78, of Worthington, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Kittanning Hospital on May 4, 1946, the daughter of the late Walter J. And Helen M. (Reesman) Bowser, and was a lifelong resident of the community. She formerly worked at Moonlight Mushroom Farm and was a member of Worthington Presbyterian Church. Linda was very active in her church and community, always volunteering her time. Her family was everything to her. She spent most of her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her so much joy. She loved taking trips to camp with her friends. She also loved to bake cookies. You could always count on her bringing cookies with her wherever she went. She was a very giving and generous woman who didn't expect anything in return. She will be greatly missed by so many who loved her.
She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory, her son, Eric Wolfe, of Kittanning; granddaughter, Kirsten (Shawn) Bowers, of Ford City; grandson, Cameron (Hannah) Wolfe, of Worthington; stepsons, William (Gail) Reed and Greg Reed, both of Worthington; stepdaughter, Paula (Joe) Semler; great-grandchildren, Brody Bowers, Blake Bowers and Cooper Wolfe; brother, Larry Bowser, of Rural Valley; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, William P. Reed; and two brothers, Rex Bowser and Dennis Bowser.
Viewing will be privately held by the family. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Worthington Presbyterian Church, 197 Linton St., Worthington, Pa. with Rev. Robert Hindman officiating. Interment will be in Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery.
