Lois Jean (Robinson) Painter, 87, of Kittanning passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026 at home where she lived with her daughter. She was born September 13, 1938 in Armstrong County, the daughter of the late Roy A. "Snub" and Avenelle Roxie (Clever) Robinson. She was a graduate of Dayton High School, class of 1956. She previously worked as an Avon Sales Representative, was a cook at Bonello's Steakhouse and in Food Services at IUP campus in Kittanning. She was also co-owner of Painter's Car Cleaning and was a caregiver. Lois enjoyed baking, camping and playing the lottery. She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory, her children, Roy Painter, of North Carolina, Roxie (Painter) Trudgen and husband, Rodger, Sr., of Kittanning and Douglas E. (Lori) Painter, of Knox, Pa.; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, James Robinson, of Kittanning; companion of over 12 years, William "Bill" Berry, of Leechburg; and her dog, Angel.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald M. Painter Sr.; son, Ronald M. Painter Jr.; grandson, Christopher R. Painter; great-grandchildren, Brieyonah Painter, Rosie Trudgen and Asher Trudgen; brothers, Donald Robinson and Robert "Bob" Robinson; and sister, Brenda Carson.
Friends will be received on Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 1-3 p.m. at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning and from 5 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Fred Neal officiating. Interment will be in Cochran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
