Loretta Jean (Sekeras) Muir Obituary

Loretta Jean (Sekeras) Muir, 88, of Kittanning, passed away Saturday October 4, 2025 at home surrounded by her family. She was born July 29, 1937 in Natrona to the late Stephen and Helen (Lefchik) Sekeras Sr. Loretta was a homemaker and a member of St. Mathias in Natrona. She enjoyed bowling, card club, and going to all of her grandchildren's activities. Loretta was an avid Steeler, Pirate, and Pens fan, always watching sports on TV.


She is survived by her husband Robert Muir of Kittanning; son Brian (Janine) Muir of Kittanning; daughters Brenda (Rusty) Contrael of Kittanning and Beth (Scott) McGaughey of Worthington; granddaughter Janessa (Jesse) Shriver of Kittanning; granddaughter Jalissa (Greg) Jacobs of York, PA; grandson Andrew Contrael of Kittanning; grandson Jamie Contrael of Kittanning; granddaughter Breanna (Michael) Doody of Pittsburgh; granddaughter Madison McGaughey of Worthington; great-grandchildren Eli, Spencer, and Zoe Jacobs; Chloe and Connor Shriver; Madelynn and Abigail Doody; brother Eugene Sekeras; sister-in-law Patricia Sekeras. 


Loretta was preceded in death by her parents Stephen and Helen (Lefchik) Sekeras; brother Steve Sekeras Jr.; sister Delores Baer; brother Ernest Sekeras; sister-in-law Diane Sekeras; dear friend Phyllis Crawford.


Friends will be received on Monday October 6, 2025 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning from 1:00 P.M. until the time of a service at 4:00 P.M.
