Lucinda (Livengood) Kirkpatrick, age 86, of Kittanning went home to our Lord on April 17, 2022, at The Grove at Harmony with family by her side.
Born on September 23, 1935, in McGrann, she was the daughter of the late Glenn Marshall and Helen Pearl (Lukehart) Livengood.
In 1956, Lucinda married Donald Kirkpatrick, her husband of 65 years, and together they had two children, the late Robert Kirkpatrick and Linda Kirkpatrick Trostle. As a homemaker, Lucinda was devoted to her family and loved the many camping trips together as well as traveling throughout the region to support her husband’s singing in the Victory Five, a Southern Gospel quintet.
A long-time member of Mount Union Bible Church, Lucinda participated in the many services and activities but was unable to attend in recent years due to declining health. Not one to seek the spotlight, she served God in the background through her prayers and avid card-sending ministry to the sick, grieving, and discouraged.
In addition to her husband, Donald, of Kittanning, and daughter, Linda Trostle (David), of Harmony, Lucinda is survived by her sister, Diana Stitt (Wilbur) of Kittanning, and more than two dozen nieces and nephews.
Lucinda was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Robert Kirkpatrick of Kittanning, PA; her brother, Robert Livengood of Butler, PA; her brother, Henry Livengood of Ford City, PA; and her sister, Marlene Wilcox (Joe) of Howell, MI.
Family and friends will be received at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, at Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, with a funeral service following at 2 p.m. The Rev. Jack Peters will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
