Marie E. (Barker) Leinweber

Marie E. (Barker) Leinweber, 89, of Kittanning, died Monday, April 7, 2025, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. She was born October 17, 1935, in Kittanning to Howard M. and Laura V. (Luke) Barker. Marie was retired from Mellon Bank and prior to working at Mellon Bank she worked at Farmers Bank in Kittanning. She was a member and attended Salem United Church of Christ (Hills Church). 

Marie is survived by her sister-in-law Betty Lou Barker; and numerous nieces and nephews: Richard Barker (Daphne), James Barker (Tammie), Laurie Harriger (Denny), Barbara Emminger (Tom), Beverly Serene. Additional survivors include Aaron Barker (Amber), Brandon Barker (Aimee), Caleb Harriger, Sara Harriger, Emily Barker, Preslee Barker, Novahlee Barker and Josephine Barker. Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William D Leinweber; her parents; and brothers Marlin, Ray and Richard Barker and her sister-in-law, Margaret Serene. 

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKeen St., Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the funeral home, with Pastor Todd Marino officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Union Davis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marie’s honor to the Women’s Circle at Salem United Church of Christ at 316 Hills Church Road Kittanning, PA 16201.
