Matthew Calvin Puz, Sr.

Matthew Calvin Puz, Sr., 62, of Kittanning, passed away Thursday April 10, 2025 at home. He was born August 14, 1962 in Kittanning to Rose Marie (Visnesky) Puz.

Matt was a professional gambler and caretaker. 

He enjoyed spending time with his dog Stevie, cracking jokes, helping older Pennsylvanians by supporting the lottery. Matt enjoyed talking to everyone he met, he was also fond of cooking and making delicious cheesecakes and lasagna.

He is survived by his brother Louis Puz of Goheenville, PA; brother Andrew Puz of Winchester, VA; son Matthew Puz Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Erie, PA; son Chad Puz and his wife Carrie of Ford City, PA ; daughter Courtney Harding and her husband Cory of Ford City, PA; granddaughter Daisy Puz of Erie, PA; grandson Link Puz of Ford City, PA; grandson Broly Puz of Ford City, PA; granddaughter Rydia Puz of Ford City, PA; grandson Ayden Harding of Ford City, PA; granddaughter Baylee Harding; the best ex-wife ever Sherri Claypoole of Kittanning, PA.

Matt was preceded in death by his mother Rose Marie Puz; brothers Francis Xavier Puz and Joseph Puz.

A memorial gathering will held for Matthew on Monday April 14, 2025 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning form 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
