Maurice “Mouse” Croyle, 75, of Cowansville, died at his home on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, of natural causes. He was born on Sept. 25, 1946, to Charles “Bud” and Catherine Croyle. He celebrated 50 years of marriage this past Oct. 2, with his loving wife, Nancy (Davis) Croyle. Mouse was a wonderful, loving husband and father. He loved to hunt, especially bear hunting. Mouse loved to camp at Whitehaven Campground and he loved to watch TV. He loved his dog “Lady.” Mouse never stopped telling stories. He was most recently retired from Atkinson Rolloff. He also worked and retired from CMC Metals. He worked years before that for Ringgold Corporation at the coal tipple in New Bethlehem, Pa. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his three children: son, Everett (Mary) Croyle, of Vandergrift; daughters, Heidi (Dan) Gahagan, of Templeton, and Penny (Wayne) Stouffer, of Kittanning; six grandchildren: Everett (Clarissa), Ryan and Matthew, Natalie (Justin), Sara and Allyson; two great-grandsons, Westyn and Liam, who were very special to him; brother, Timothy (Karen) Croyle, of Ford City; several sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Chester and Garry; and sister, Lucinda. Private services will be held at a later date. The Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Cowansville, is assisting the family with their arrangements.
