Melda Irene (Schall) McCombs, 91, of Kittanning, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at ACMH Hospital.  She was born May 27, 1933 in Kittanning, the daughter of the late George and Dessie (Baker) Schall.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Kittanning.  She was a school bus driver for Shriver Bus Co. for 30 years.  Melda enjoyed baking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She also loved to go shopping with her niece, Patty.  Melda leaves behind to forever cherish her memory, her son, Barry (Michelle) McCombs, of Kittanning; grandsons, Jared and Jordan McCombs, of Kittanning; granddaughter, Jennifer (Matt) Martin, of Virginia; three great-grandchildren, Delaina, Wyatt and Autumn; brother, Darl (Myrtle) Schall, of Kittanning; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Melda was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest McCombs; son, Gary McCullough; sister, May Dunmire; and brother-in-law, Clarence Dunmire.  Friends will be received on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024 from 1-3 p.m. at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning with funeral service to immediately follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Smith officiating.  Interment is private.
