Melvin C. Snyder

Melvin C. Snyder, 71, of Kittanning, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Premier Armstrong Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born September 17, 1950 in Kittanning to the late John and Marie (Claypool) Snyder.  He graduated from Kittanning High School in 1968 and attended McPherson College in Kansas.  Melvin worked for the company which painted the Kittanning Bridge.  He was a lifelong member of the Center Hill Church of the Brethren.  Melvin enjoyed playing chess.

He is survived by his sister, Audrey Scahill of Kittanning; niece, Erin (Mike) Kidder of Cowansville; nephew, James (Stefanie) Scahill IV of Kittanning; nephew, John J. Scahill of Kittanning; niece, Katherine (Brent) Ulisky of Grove City; great nieces and nephews, Ava Kidder, Finnley Kidder, Hudson Kidder, Porter Ulisky, Audrey Ulisky and Willow Scahill; many cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie Snyder; step mother, Mabel Snyder; brother-in-law James Scahill III.

Friends will be received on Friday December 17, 2021 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am at the Center Hill Church of the Brethren with Rev. Donald Peters officiating.  Interment is in the Center Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
