Michael A. Booher, 66, of Kittanning, passed away surrounded by his family on April 16", 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. He will forever be remembered for his strength and devotion to those he loved.
Left behind to cherish his memory are: his wife Tammy Mauthe-Booher; his five children: Jennifer Booher (and Anthony Suppa), Melissa Ingram, Michael Booher (fiancée Rachel Andrews) Callie Mickle (husband Corey Mickle), and Caitlin Paar (husband Cory Paar); step-son John Mauthe (wife Heather Mauthe); grandchildren: Hailey Suppa (fiancée Rianna Lewis), Anthony Suppa Jr., Garrett Suppa, Amelia Cornman, Cecilia Paar, Gabrielle Cribbs (husband Rylee Cribbs), Phoenix Ingram, Cadance Ingram, Leland Ingram, Caleb Matus, Peyton Cravener, Sophia Cravener, Michael Booher III., Emma Mauthe, and Blake Mauthe; great-grandchild Stella Cribbs; his brother Larry Booher, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Anyone who knew Mike knew he enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing Bingo, watching football (his favorite team, of course, The Steelers), and spending time with friends and family. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and loved when he went to see the elk at Benezette. Mike talked to everyone and made friends everywhere he went. Mike was retired, and had retired early to take care of his late wife Juanita of 43 years, as she had also fought a brave and courageous battle. Mike enjoyed being a father and a grandfather, his face lighting up every time he got to spend time with his children and grandchildren. His humor, smile, and hugs will forever be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Walter Mechling Sr. And Dora (Booher) Shields; wife Juanita Booher; siblings: Dennise Shields, Della Shields, Jean Johns, Sara Stover and Walter Mechling Jr.; sister-in-law Janet Dunbar; and nephew Walter E Mechling III.
Friends and family will be received from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, PA. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21, at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Center Hill Covenant Brethren Church Cemetery.
