Nancy G. (Montgomery) Morris

Nancy G. (Montgomery) Morris, 88, of Kittanning, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at ACMH Hospital. She was born June 6, 1930, in Armstrong County, and was the last surviving child of the late Robert Mateer and Estella Emma (Fleming) Montgomery. She was a lifelong resident of the area, and previously worked for The Children’s Shop before becoming a homemaker. Nancy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kittanning, where she was highly involved in church functions. She also volunteered with the Boy Scouts. Nancy liked planting flowers and taking care of her yard, and baking. She loved to send out cards to people to encourage them. Nancy is survived by her four sons, Arnold R. (Barbara) Morris, of Kittanning; Brian E. (Cheryl) Morris, of Kittanning; Timothy L. Morris, of Cowansville; and Todd A. (Dianne) Morris, of Kittanning; three grandchildren, Nichole (Rob) Plaster, of Paris, France; Amber (Upai) Jasa, of Thailand; and Christopher (Jackie) Morris, of New Hampshire; four great-grandchildren, Jade Jasa, of Thailand; Rayne Jasa, of Thailand; Cami Plaster, of Paris, France; and Tabitha Morris, of New Hampshire; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arnold E. Morris, who passed away Sept. 12, 2012; brother, Harry Neil Montgomery; brother, James Robert Montgomery; sister, Alice Carlotta Henry; brother, Samuel William Montgomery; sister, Dorothy Pearl Rearick; sister, Mary Elizabeth McCarthy; and sister, Laura Estella Montgomery. Private services will be held for the immediate family at Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at First Baptist Church, 334 Arch St., Kittanning, followed by fellowship and refreshments in the church hall.
