Nancy E. "Nanny" Peters, 79, of Kittanning died on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at ACMH.  She was born December 18, 1946 in Kittanning to the late Denton and Rosella (Cornman) Peters.  Nancy was a lifelong resident of the area.  She was employed at ACMH Environmental Services for 37 years.  She enjoyed listening to music and working jigsaw puzzles, but most of all, she cherished time spent with her family.  Survivors include her sister, Rosalie Hewitt, of Templeton; brother, James (Cindy) Peters, of Kittanning; brother-in-law, Jon Swartz, of Kittanning; niece, Melissa (Erin) Zahradnik, of NuMine; niece, Hope (Chris) Pisor, of Kittanning; niece, Michelle (Jason) Grates, of Templeton; niece, Julie Swartz, of Kittanning; nephew, Andrew (Heather) Peters, of Kittanning; niece, Kelli Atwood, of Kittanning; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, dear sister, Kay Swartz, and brother-in-law, David Hewitt.  Friends will be received on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa. From 1-3 p.m. with funeral service to immediately follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Todd Marino officiating.  Interment will be in Salem (Hills) United Church of Christ Cemetery.
