Patricia "Patty" (Johns) Janukites

Patricia (Patty) Johns Janukites, 73, formerly of Worthington, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 1, 2018. She was the loving daughter of the late Chester Winfield, and Mildred Pearl (Kunkle) Johns, Sr.

Patty was born on Jan. 11, 1945, in Ford City, Pa. She married George Janukites, Sr. and had seven children. George preceded her in November 1977. After the loss of her husband, she met her long-time companion, Carl George, of Worthington, Pa., who also preceded her in death. She lived in the Worthington, Pa., area many years, prior to moving to Ashtabula, Ohio, where she lived 30 plus years.

Her greatest achievement was the love of her children. She was a lifelong caregiver to her handicap son, Ricky. She was a homemaker, a good ole country girl. She enjoyed country and christian music, as well as cooking, canning, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and shopping for sales.

She is survived by her children: George (Karen) Janukites, Jr., Ricky, Larry, Pammy, and Cindy, and several grandchildren. Her brothers: Donald (Neldine) Johns, Sr. of Mansfield, Ohio and Jerry Johns of Las Vegas, Nev. Her sisters: Shirley (Earl) Hayes of Kansas, Carol (Alvaro) Dominguez of Las Vegas, Nev. and Joanne Johns, also of Las Vegas, Nev.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two children: David and Diane (Sissy.) Her brothers: Marlin (Sam) Johns, Sr., Chester (Cork) Johns, Jr., and Harold (Boog) Johns. Her sisters: Janet (Larry) Lemmon and Bonnie Johns, that passed at birth.

Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for visitation at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington, on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Funeral and burial service will follow visitation at 1 p.m.
