Patrick Ner Gutherie, 76, of West Kittanning, drove into Heaven in his '69 Chevelle on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Pittsburgh VA Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1949 in Cowansville, Pa., the son of the late Marlin and Mary (Lardin) Gutherie. He worked as an underwater diving welder for 20 years. He was an active member of the Kittanning Church of Christ. He was a part of Torch Missions where he traveled to Honduras and many other Central America countries. During his missionary work he received the first Century Award for building over 150 houses for families in need. Patrick was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps where he earned several medals, including three Purple Hearts, the Combat Action Ribbon and the USMC Achievement Medal with Valor. He enjoyed spending time with his grand kids, attending their sporting events while drinking coffee out of a white cup.
He leaves behind to forever cherish his memory, his wife of 49 years, Robin Gutherie; sons, Marlin Waldron, of Leland, N.C., Samuel (Lori) Gutherie, of Kittanning, Richard Gutherie, of Irwin, Pa. and Michael (Amanda) Gutherie, of Ford City; grandchildren, Zach, Nathan and Cole Waldron and Lily Gutherie, Lila Gutherie, Owen Gutherie, Noah Gutherie, Kenzie Gutherie, Kelsie Gutherie, Braxston Gutherie, Easton Gutherie and Emmerson Gutherie; great-grandchildren, Orin, Richie and Bohdi; siblings, Mary Louise Craft, Shirley Thomas, Grace Apicella, John Gutherie, Barb Burton, Vernie Gutherie and Theresa Perry; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Patrick was preceded in death by his brother, Marlin Gutherie.
Friends will be received on Monday, Jan. 12, 2026 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa. Additional viewing will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 13, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at Kittanning Church of Christ, 213 Blaney Rd., Kittanning with Evangelist Larry Krause officiating.
