Paul A. “Cigar” Hooks, 85, of Kittanning died on Friday April 23, 2021 in his residence. He was born on August 5, 1935 in Kittanning to the late Christopher Allen & Ethel Marie (Allen) Hooks. Cigar was a retired welder from Westinghouse and a USMC Veteran. He was a member of the Kittanning Men’s Club, Kittanning Eagles, and Kittanning Elks. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Sharon Harley and husband, Timothy; son, Bill Hooks and wife, Kim; sisters, Katherine “Doll” Hetrick of Arizona & Phyllis Palermo of Kittanning; granddaughter, Christan Bish and husband, Christopher; grandson, Andrew Warner and wife, Alynna; and great-granddaughter, Taylor Bish. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deanna Hooks; two brothers, William J. & Christopher “Pete” Hooks; and three sisters, Marion “Tootie” Hooks, June Farrer, and Emily Tataleba.
There will be a funeral service for Paul “Cigar” Hooks on Monday April 26, 2021 in the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 South McKean St., Kittanning, Pa 16201 at 11:00 am with Rev. Sue Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates. We respectfully ask that all guests attending followiCDC guidelines of wearing a mask and social distancing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Orphans of the Storm.
