Peggy Louise (Dowling) Painter, 97, of Kittanning, passed away Thursday September 11, 2025 at Kittanning Care Center. She was born November 24, 1927 in Kittanning to the late William and Sara (Ritchey) Dowling. Peggy was a homemaker and a member of the Sloan Hill Church. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching sports and old movies.

She is survived by her three sons: Richard Painter of Templeton, Ron Painter of Wexford, and Randy Painter of Clymer; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Thomas Painter whom passed away in 2011 and she married January 13, 1947; granddaughter Mandy Baker; one brother and one sister.

Services for Peggy will be private and under the care of the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. Interment is in Pine Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
