On Sunday, October 5th, 2025, Peggy Walker, of Templeton, passed away after living a beautiful life filled with love and cherished memories.
Peggy, age 96, was born to Harvey and Vivian Keesey in Hooks Station and moved to Templeton when she was a teenager. On September 27, 1947, Peggy married the love of her life, Leroy Walker, and was a proud resident of Templeton where they made their home and raised their four children.
Peggy lived a full life of 96 years. She loved her family deeply and built a life filled with cherished family time, travel, adventure and fun. Peggy loved sharing stories of her travels to Florida and across the country traveling in their RV. She and Leroy spent 40 years of wintering in Florida making great memories with family, camping buddies and great friends. With deep respect, her family knew she was the lady in charge and the leader of the pack!
She will be missed deeply by her daughters Debra Walker of Templeton and Susan Walker of Flagler Beach, FL, her son-in-law Dave Slagle of Templeton and daughter-in-law Gail Walker of Flowery Branch, GA, her grandchildren David (Tracey) Slagle of Belknap, Matt Slagle of Templeton, Andrea (Derek) Rix of Templeton, Danny (Candice) Walker of Oklahoma, Ben (Adriana) Walker of Georgia, and Jonathan (Casey) Walker of Georgia as well as her great grandchildren Courtney, Cody and Curt Slagle, Zoe and Gunner Rix and Jonathan and Wesley Walker and great-great grandson Huxson Slagle.
We know that she will be happy to join those that she loved so deeply who went before her beloved husband Leroy Walker to whom she was married for 78 years, her son Daniel Walker and daughter Kathy Slagle as well as her father and mother Harvey and Vivian Keesey and her brother Jack Keesey.
All are welcome to join her family and celebrate a life well lived. A viewing will be held at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean Street, Kittanning on Wednesday, October 8th from 4-7 PM and a service will be held at the Templeton Church of God where Peggy was a proud member on Thursday, October 9th with viewing from 10-11 AM followed by the funeral service at 11AM with Pastor Robert Grimm officiating. Interment will be in Tidal Cemetery.
May she rest peacefully and know how much she will forever be loved and carried with those who she loved so well.
