Penny Sue (Bowser) Kelley, 66, of Worthington, passed away Tuesday November 5, 2024 at home. She was born August 4, 1958 in Kittanning to the late Harold D. and Norma Jean Bowser. Penny was a lifelong resident of the area and was retired from Ankle & Foot Care. She graduated from Lenape Vo-Tech/Worthington High School in 1976. She was a member of the Center Hill Covenant Brethren Church, serving as church treasurer for over 20 years. She married her husband, Everett Kelley, on Oct. 15, 1977. She enjoyed reading, nature, spending time at camp, riding the motorcycle and she crocheted over 500 hats for cancer patients.
Penny is survived by her husband, Everett "Sonny" Kelley, of Worthington; sister, Mardell (Denny) Blose, of Kittanning; brother, Ron (Kim) Bowser, of Kittanning; brother, Randy (Cheryl) Bowser, of Worthington; brother, Jeff (Joyce) Bowser, of Worthington; numerous nieces and nephews; and precious friend, Muriel. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; niece, Ashley Elizabeth Bowser; and aunt, Mary Alice Swigart.
Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024 at F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington, Pa. Additional visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 8, at Center Hill Covenant Brethren Church, 2039 Freeport Rd., Kittanning from 3 p.m. until time of funeral service at 4 p.m. with Pastor Donald Peters officiating. Interment will follow in the Center Hill Church Cemetery.
