Penny Lee (Kirkwood) McKain

Penny Lee (Kirkwood) McKain, 67, of McGrann, passed away Tuesday April 2, 2024 at Armstrong Nursing and Rehabilitation in Kittanning. She was born March 1, 1957 in Kittanning to the late Cleo and Woodrow Kirkwood.

She was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of the Church of God.

Penny enjoyed crocheting, sewing, shopping, crafts, flowers, watching movies and tv. She loved spending time with her family and sitting on the porch with music playing. Penny was always about family and could talk to anybody; she loved making you feel special. She would cook the best meals and could bake like no other. she wanted to create as much love as possible. Penny loved sports especially the Pens and the Bucs. She was eternally sixteen. 

She is survived her daughter Carrie (Dennis) Kirkwood-Welling of Natrona Heights; son Shawn (Sherry) Kirkwood of New Brighton; son David (Kayla) McKain of McGrann; grandchildren Abigail and Alexander Welling, Bryanna, Kira, Raven, Dante, and Jordan Kirkwood, and Arabella and Bentley; brother Bob Kirkwood of Ford Cliff; numerous nieces and nephews.

Penny was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Wood, Don, and Paul; sisters Betty, Vivian, Barb,and Karen; sister in law Dixie.

A Celebration of Life Service for Penny will be held at a later date.
