Perry Henry Bennett

Perry Henry Bennett (Buck or Shelby), 94, of Ford City, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at ACMH Hospital.  Perry was born August 5, 1928 to Perry and Margaret (Shields) Bennett, of Juneau.  He was married to Nancy McKelvey on November 14, 1969.  Perry was a member of Center Hill Covenant Brethren Church.  He was a veteran of the Army-Air Force, serving in WWII in Germany and during the Korean Conflict.  He was a lifetime member of the Ford City VFW. Perry was an over-the-road truck driver, as an owner/operator and as a company driver, and worked many years in Ohio and Florida.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his four daughters: Susan Bouch, of Rossiter, Brenda Satterlee, of Treasure Lake, Shelli (Kenneth) Phillips, of Illinois and Vicki (Gary) Best, of Punxsutawney; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandhildren and five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard “Dick” Bennett and wife, Charmaine, of Rossiter; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Marcy (Bouch) Brooks; two sons-in-law, Robert Bouch and Daniel Satterlee; three sisters: Dora Sitosky, Mary Mae Craft and Sara Jane; and three brothers: Leroy, Robert and George Bennett.

Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, PA.  Additional visitation will be held on Friday, May 19th at Center Hill Covenant Brethren Church, 2039 Freeport Rd., Kittanning from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Donald Peters officiating. Burial will follow in Center Hill Covenant Brethren Church Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations in Perry’s honor can be made to Veteran’s Affairs or the charity of one’s choice.
