Richard John Kunselman, Jr.

Richard John Kunselman, Jr., 78, of Kittanning, died on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025 at Pittsburgh VA Medical Center.  He was born February 4, 1947 in Kittanning, the son of the late Richard John, Sr. and Caroline (Shuster) Kunselman.  He was a retired U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt., serving two tours in Vietnam.  Richard also served as presidential bodyguard on Air Force One for President Richard Milhous Nixon, Henry Kissinger and Vice President George Bush.  He loved fishing and was very active for veterans events, especially enjoying Memorial Day.  He leaves behind to forever cherish his memory, his wife of 52 years, Pamela D. (Innes) Kunselman, of Kittanning; son, Richard John Kunselman III, of Kittanning; and sisters, Jacqueline and Victoria.  In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his daughter, Annie Catherine Kunselman.  Private viewing will be held by the family with arrangements entrusted to the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.  Private interment.
