Richard Daniel Lloyd, 71, of Ford City, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021, at Allegheny General Hospital. He was born May 4, 1950, in Kittanning, to the late Thomas E. and Sarah G. Lloyd and was a lifelong resident of the community. Richard worked as a laborer at PDC Glass. He was a member of Crooked Creek United Presbyterian Church. Richard was a Boy Scouts leader. He enjoyed hunting, reading and watching Westerns. He was an active grandfather and loved to be a jokester. Left behind to cherish his memory includes his wife, Taffie D. (Anderson) Lloyd; son, Michael R. Lloyd, of Cadogan; daughter, Amanda S. (Lloyd) Phillips, of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; son-in-law, Howard D. Phillips, of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; sisters, Karen L. Brauers, of Kittanning, and Barbara J. Tucker, of Kittanning; grandson, Dominic J. Phillips, of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; granddaughters: Lexus K. Stewart-Lloyd, of Ford City, Baylee S. Lloyd, of Ford City, Neela J. Phillips, of Kill Devil Hills, N.C. and Nevaeh R. Lloyd, of Ford City; and lifelong friends of 55 plus years, Don “Fats” Farester and Bob Zacour. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas E. “Tim” Lloyd, Jr. and Kirk A. Lloyd; sisters: Patricia Goldinger, Susan Smith, Vivian Lloyd and Kelly Ann Lloyd; and uncle, Roger Lloyd. A special thank you to his beloved neighbors and Concordia Home Health Nurse, Kathy, as well as the local EMS and medical services. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 18, 2021, at Crooked Creek Presbyterian Church with Pastor Marty Neal officiating.
