Richard (Dick) W. Say, of Ford City, passed away at ACMH on Sunday, April 19, 2026. He was born May 27, 1937, a son of the late Harold and Blanche (Fiscus) Say. Dick was one of the original employees to work at the Lenape Vocational Technical School in 1965 as the sole custodian and the last of original employees retiring in 2002 as head of the custodians and facilities & property coordinator. He was a member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church in Kittanning. Surviving is his wife, Margaret "Peggy" (Bevington) Say, of Ford City; two daughters, Deborah (Scott) Eberle, of Kittanning and Tara Villa, of Leechburg; four grandchildren, Paige Eberle (Jacob Greene), Kaitlyn Eberle, Cole Villa (Halle Reed) and Tyler Villa. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Carolyn Baker, Betty Baker and Janet Smith; and two brothers, Fred Say and James Say, who passed April 16, 2026.
Dick enjoyed camping when his girls were young. He liked watching football and he liked going to the races and watching them on TV and bus trips. He was his daughters personal maintenance worker, as he enjoyed working on their homes, mowing their lawns and whatever they wanted him to do. He was in his happy place working on his home. He was riding his lawn mower the summer of his 88th year. He was mostly in his happy place when he was with his wife of 68 years, Peggy. He loved his family and was so proud of those grandkids. He was so loved.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, Inc., 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa. from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Terri Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
