Robert E. Davis, 98, of Worthington, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the Orchards of Saxonburg. He was born June 7, 1923 in Cowansville to the late Harry E. and Marcella (Shriver) Davis. He lived in Worthington since 1953; he was a heavy equipment operator, salesman, and truck driver. Robert served in the U.S. Army in World War 2 in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the Union First Presbyterian Church, where he was a lifelong member. Robert enjoyed fishing, holiday get togethers, and spending time with family. He is survived by his wife Patricia (Martin) Davis of Valencia; son, John E. “Jack” (Jacque) Davis, of Cowansville; son, Ralph (Rose) Davis, of Saxonburg; daughter, Janet (Bob) Jesteadt, of Prospect; brother, Theodore (Ruth) Davis, of Prospect; sister, Jane Taylor, of DePew, NY; 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Fred Davis; two granddaughters, Glee Hart and Tammy Toy; first wife, Gladys Davis; two sisters, Ruth Wertz and Loretta Geibel; and his parents, Harry and Marcella Davis. A private visitation and funeral service was held by the family at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington. Interment with full Military Honors was in the Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery.
