Rodger L. Lane

     Rodger L. Lane, 70, of Kittanning passed away Friday, June 26, 2026 at his home with his family surrounding him.  He was born October 15, 1955 in Kittanning.  He was a lifelong resident of the community.  He was the husband of Tina Brochetti Lane, whom he married May 22, 1982.  She was the love of his life.  Rodger enjoyed spending time with his three sons and grandchildren.  They meant the world to him.  He also had a passion of lifting weights ever since he was 13 years old.  He developed many friendships.  If he wasn't with his family, you could find him at the YMCA.  He retired from teaching Junior High Science in 2018 in Butler, PA where he impacted many lives of his students.  He received many awards.  

    In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three sons, Jake (Tressa) Lane, Joey Lane and Alex (Hannah) Lane; his grandchildren, Stella, Tate and Koen whom he was so proud to be their Pappy; brother, Rick (Jean) Lane, of Kittanning; sisters, Cheryl (Bruce) McKillop, of Rural Valley, Tammy (Rick) Bowers, of Virginia and Melissa (Tom) Shaffer, of Florida; mother, Betty Lane, of Kittanning; mother-in-law, Alma Brochetti; brother-in-law, Joseph (Cheryl) Brochetti; sisters-in-law, Dianna (Ken) Troutman and Mary Bowser; several nieces and nephews; and his dear Aunt Joyce Rizzo.  In addition to his father, Jack Lane, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Lane; and his father-in-law, Al Brochetti.

     As per Rodger's wishes, there will be no viewing.  A service will be held at a later date.  In honor of Rodger, donations can be made in his memory to the Richard G. Snyder YMCA, 1150 N. Water St., Kittanning, PA 16201 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
