Ronald H. Jurke

Ronald H. Jurke, 91, of West Kittanning, passed away Friday July 19, 2024 at Heritage Meadows Personal Care Home. He was born October 22, 1932 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Herman and Anna Jurke. H lived in the Kittanning area for the past 67 years and was a Evangelist and High School Teacher. Ron was a member of the West Kittanning Grace Brethren Church.

He enjoyed playing piano and served as the church pianist, wrote many poems and produced artwork, enjoyed proofreading documents for organizations, liked riding his bicycle and visiting friends and their pets,

He faithfully perched the Word of God and shared his faith with everyone he met. During his lifetime he taught countless children about the Bible, sometimes using sleight of hand and visuals he created to go with his lessons. Many people lovingly called him "Uncle Ron". During his lifetime he served with Youth for Christ and was a board member of Child Evangelism Fellowship, CE National, and Grace Christian School. Ron was an ordained minister of the Gospel Fellowship Association and the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches.

He is survived by several cousins in the United States and Germany.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at West Kittanning Grace brethren Church, 215 Arthur Street, West Kittanning, on August 11, 2024 at 3:00 p.m.Pastor Larry Edwards will lead the service.

Interment will be in the Pine Creek Baptist Cemetery
